The idea for this shop began with a love of the things that surround us every day, objects made with care, food grown close to home, traditional skills passed down through generations, and the simple pleasure of discovering something with a story behind it.
I’m Emily, and I have always been drawn to places that feel thoughtful and welcoming; shops where you can wander slowly, meet the people behind the products, and find something unexpected that you will treasure for years to come.
Inspired by the landscapes, villages and traditions of Derbyshire, this shop was created as a space to celebrate the talented makers, growers and craftspeople who make this place so special. A place where local craftsmanship, seasonal living and carefully chosen goods come together under one roof.
Everything we stock is chosen with intention. From handmade ceramics and textiles to antiques, homewares, flowers, food and gifts, every piece has a story, whether it has been grown, made, gathered, restored or created close to home.
We believe shopping should feel personal. It should encourage connection: with the maker, with the place something comes from, and with the people who share that place with us.
Our hope is that the shop becomes more than somewhere to buy things. We want it to be a place to visit, discover, learn and spend time, a home for local makers, a celebration of Derbyshire, and a reminder to slow down and appreciate the everyday things made well.
